Mitch is a young B/W English Springer Spaniel that I bought in as an 8 weeks old pup from Pete Avery of Deepfleet Gundogs. Mitch has a soft temperment but even at his young age is shopwing no fear when game lurks in thick cover. His marking ability is nothing short of fantastic and has been a natural marker from an early age. Mitch entered a Novice Field Trial in January 2009 at the tender age of 13 months. He had some good flushes and both retrieves need no handling, he markes everything well. He was the only dog to be awarded a Certificate of Merit. Since then he has also ran in an Open Working test and gained yet another COM against some very stiff competition. He will trial in earnest during the 2009/10 season where I expect him to do well.
